The only consolation is you get to see Claudia Lis' pottery and Bunners.Terry in Fordennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470242222918110052.post-50821031412786757172014-04-18T11:41:02.319-07:002014-04-18T11:41:02.319-07:00I agree with Karen re TIB, couldn't really be ...I agree with Karen re TIB, couldn't really be bothered to walk down the hill, however, I was persuaded by Indigo Moon to go and to look at the pottery and was glad i did, I walked back up Princes Street and had a coffee at the Ivy House.Michael D.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470242222918110052.post-66153786026016385772013-11-06T01:25:19.662-08:002013-11-06T01:25:19.662-08:00Montgomery is a nice town if you want to spend an ...Montgomery is a nice town if you want to spend an hour or so there - I've seen the tourist information box aka telephone box which seems a bit of a shambles. If you (by any chance) do find out there is a tourist information point you have to walk down the hill out of town (away from the car parks (opposite direction in fact)to find a very poor leaflet about Montgomery and lots of information about other places! I feel sorry for the businesses in town, it seems that none were involved in the towns "tourism strategy" and they are working hard to get people in. What a shame we unwittingly chose 'Market'day which we thought took the edge off things slightly. However the fabulous Bunners is a real treat for those of us who remember £s /- and d. In fact I fully expected to have to revert to 'old money' transactions. Have to say the Jewel in the Crown for me was the fabulous Aladdin's cave aka 'Indigo Moon'.Fully intend to visit again soon but not on market day which we felt not only lowered the tone of the place but spoiled the ambience somewhat.

Mr and Mrs Thomas Woodward, Pembrokeshire. mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07371382250554450771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470242222918110052.post-63894232020649909262013-04-17T12:23:37.133-07:002013-04-17T12:23:37.133-07:00A charming little town with nice shops and cafes -...A charming little town with nice shops and cafes - locals are a little odd but it adds to its quirkiness! Bunners is a special place and any of the cafes are good for a coffee - just avoid the Spar and it should be a nice visit.
